Properties of the settings-panel design tab.

General

where

Determines where the object is visible:

  • invisible: the object is invisible.
  • ctrl panel: in the control-panel.
  • parent ctrl panel: in the control-panel of the parent patch if it exists.
  • top ctrl panel : in the control-panel of the top parent patch (main patch) if it exists.
  • container : in the container of the current patch.
  • parent container : in the container of the parent patch of the current patch.
  • top parent container: in the container of the top parent patch of the current patch.
  • pop up window: visible in the popup.
  • top header: visible in the top top-header-panel.
  • toolbox: visible in the toolbox-panel.
  • workspace: visible in the workspace-panel.

When the location is set to a container which doesn't exist in the patch, Usine try to find in parent patches, the first container available. If no container is available an error message is displayed.

When ON, will also be visible in the interface-builder-panel.

on top

When ON, the control stays on top in its parent panel.

Example with the first knob on top.

background color

Background color of the control.

transparent option must be OFF.

Blue background color example.

transparent

Determines if the background of the control is transparent or not.

Example, the first module is transparent.

opacity

Opacity value of the control.

0 will give a transparent control.

vertical

Rotate the control to vertical position.

Example on panel-text.

zoom scale

Zoom scale of the control.

image file

Filename of the optional background bitmap.

Only PNG, JPEG and BMP formats are supported.

Use [ctrl+click] to reset.

Example on an panel-xy-pad.

fit size

Force the image file to adapt its displayed size to the size of the object.

  • proportional: the image keeps its proportion ratio and is left aligned,
  • scaled: the image is scaled to the object size,
  • original: keeps the original size, the object is resized,
  • clipped: the image is clipped to the object size, and centered.

blur softness

Blur amount applied to the object.

Example here on the big left ball.

Be careful, the blur softness use shaders which are not supported by all graphic cards.
It can crashe Usine.

Caption

show caption

Displays or not the caption.

Example on a fader.

caption align

Caption alignement of the control : Left, center or right.

caption V align

Vertical alignment of the caption: Center, top or bottom.

Example on knob: Center, top and bottom.

Example on switch.

caption font size factor

Size multiplication factor applied to the caption font.

Example on switch.

caption font

Font name of the control caption.

Example with 3 different fonts on switch.

caption font color

Color of the caption font.

Example on switch.

caption font italic

Italic style for caption font.

Example on switch.

caption font bold

Bold style for caption font.

Example on switch.

caption font underline

Underline style for the caption font.

Example on switch.

Border

show border

Displays or not the border of the object.

8 pixels border for an panel-xy-pad.

border width

Sets the border width of the object in pixel.

Example with 8 pixels border on an panel-xy-pad.

border color

Border color of the control.

Example with a yellow border on an panel-xy-pad.

border OFF color

Border color when the control is OFF.

Example with a black OFF border on a switch.

border ON color

Border color when the control is ON.

Example with a white ON border on a switch.

round size

Thickness of rounded corners.

0 = no rounded corners.

Example on a panel-shape.

Toolbar

show toolbar

Displays the toolbar with its icons.

Example ON and OFF

toolbar size

Height of the toolbar in pixel.

Example of 2 different values on a panel.

Fader

edition enabled

When OFF edition and modifcations are disabled so the user can't change its value.

fader color

Main color for the fader.

Example with a blue fader.

show fader

Displays the main fader design.

Example with the option ON and OFF.

frames count

Number of frames in the background bitmap. See create your own knobs and faders.

frames alignment

Determines if the frames used in the background bitmap are aligned vertically or horizontally. See create your own knobs and faders.

dashed fader

Applies a dashed design to the fader.

show symbol

Displays the symbol if it is not empty.

Option ON and OFF.

text align

Text layout of faders.

Values

show value

Show the value for this object

Option ON and OFF on a fader.

Example on a matrix.

show value and symbol on click

Displays the value and symbol only when selecting or interact with the mouse.

Example on a fader.

display array values

When the input of a fader is an array, displays the value as a list of array elements (ON) or only the first array value (OFF).

value align

Value alignment: Left, center or right.

Example on a knob.

value font bold

Bold style for the value font.

Example knob.

value font color

Color of the value font.

Example with a Green and a Red value on a knob.

Color of the value font.

value font size factor

Size factor of the value font.

value V align

Value alignment: center, top, bottom.

Example on knob (Center, top and bottom)

show poly order

Show the order of a voice in a polyphonic sub-patch.

Listbox

display line number

Add a line number on each element.

Example on a listbox.

hide filename ext

Hides the filename extension.

List with extension

List without extension (option ON)

hide filename path

Hides the filename path of the list items.

List with the full path

List without full path (option ON)

items size

Items size in pixels.

Example with 2 different item sizes.

Note that a scroller is added when the listbox can't display all items

and the option show scroller ON.

items font color

Color of items in the list.

Example with 2 different items color.

scroller color

Color of the scroller bar.

*yellow scroller on a listbox.

scroller width

Scrollbar width in pixels.

8 and 30 pixels scroller on a listbox.

select color

Color of the selected item.

show scroller

Displays the vertical scroller on the listbox.

Option OFF and ON.

Knob

show knob

Displays or not the main knob.

If OFF you can still change the knob position but only the value is displayed).

Example with 2 design different styles.

knob color

Color of the knob position indicator.

Red knob example.

aperture

Sets the difference between start and end of the cursor. Small value gives you a complete size, high value reduce the knob action.

Circle

circle color

Center circle color.

draw center circle parameter must be ON.

circle size

Center circle size.

Example with small and large value for the yellow center circle.

back knob cursor color

Back knob cursor color. !!The option draw-back-knob-cursor must be ON.

Example with a light grey color.

design

Design layout of the knob: normal, symetric, as point.

draw back knob cursor

Displays or not the back knob cursor.

Example with this option ON and OFF.

draw center circle

Displays or not the center circle.

plain center circle

When ON, the center circle is filled with plain color, empty when OFF.

Example with this option ON and OFF.

rounded cursor

Displays a round knob cursor.

*Example of rounded cursor.

Wave Display

show top bar

Displays or not the top bar. The top bar contain the wave selector.

Example of a top bar.

loop color

Color of the loop selector.

selector color

Loop selector color.

White selector.

selector opacity

Loop selector opacity.

low and high opacity value.

selector width

Loop selector width.

Different selector width values.

show loop

Displays the loop zone on a wave-display.

Example with the option ON and OFF.

wave color

Color of the waveform.

Example with an Orange waveform.

Markers

show markers

Displays or not the markers zone.

Double clicks to add or delete markers.

marker bar color

Color of the marker bottom bar.

Dark violet color.

marker color

Color of markers.

Example of yellow markers.

marker random color

Gives a random color to all markers.

marker width

Marker width size in pixels.

Example with 1 pixel and 6 pixels.

show marker caption

Displays or not the caption on markers.

Option ON and OFF

Switch

small led OFF color

Small led color when the control is OFF.

back OFF bitmap

Background bitmap when the control is OFF.

Use [CTRL + Click] to reset the file name.

Example with 2 .png files applied to a switch.

back ON bitmap

Background bitmap when the control is ON.

Use [CTRL + Click] to reset the file name.

Example with 2 .png files applied to a switch.

font OFF color

Control font color when OFF.

font ON color

Control font color when ON.

OFF color

Color when the control if OFF.

ON color

Color when the control is ON.

led at left

Displays the led on the left (ON) or right (OFF).

show small led

Displays a small led on the left of the control.

small led ON color

Small led color when the control is ON.

small led size factor

Small led proportion factor. The small led size is propostional to the control size.

Header

show header

Displays or not the header on the panel.

Example on sequenced-lines.

header caption size

Size of the header caption size.

header height

Header height of the panel.

Grid

show grid

Displays or not a grid on the panel.

Example with 8 x 4 grid.

full grid size

Displays a full grid when ON or just small ticks when OFF on the panel.

Example OFF and ON.

grid color

Color of the grid.

Example with a Yellow grid on a sequenced-steps.

H divisions

Number of vertical tick of the grid.

0 = no grid division visible

Horizontal division set to 8 on a sequenced-steps.

V divisions

Number of horizontal tick of the grid.

0 = no grid division visible

Example of 4 vertical divisions.

Steps

big step color

Color for the big steps according the big step interval parameter.

Example with big steps in Blue.

big step interval

Interval between two big steps.

Example with interval=7

show step border

Displays the step border.

With border

Without border

Border color

Only if show step border is ON.

Color of the steps.

draw mode

Determines how the module draws the steps. 4 modes are available:

Draw bars

Draw symmetric

Draw small bar

Draw lines

mode fill

Fill the form with color.

Mode fill ON and OFF

Fill color

Color used to fill lines.

Blue fill color

fill opacity

Determines the fill opacity.

Only when mode fill is ON.

Example with 2 different opacity values.

horizontal scale

Sets the horizontal scale for the steps: normal or logarithmic.

Example for normal and log

line color

Color of the lines.

Yellow line on a sequenced-lines.

line width

Line width (thickness) in pixels.

*pixel and 4 pixels line on a sequenced-lines.

pixel color

Color used to draw pixels and lines.

pixel size

Size used to draw pixels or lines.

point size

Size of selector points in pixels.

Example of different sizes on a sequenced-points-curve.

points color

Color of the selector points.

Example on a sequenced-points-curve.

select tolerance

Precision tolerance in pixels for the point selection.

show points

Displays or not the selector points on the curve.

Option ON and OFF

vertical scale

Vertical scale for the steps: normal, logarithmic or exponential.

Example for normal, logarithmic and exponential

Cursor

cursor color

Color of the cursor.

Example with a Red color on a sequneced-step.

cursor width

Cursor width in pixels.

This parameter is common to several modules but will be applied differently.

2 and 8 pixels cursor on a sequenced-steps.

A small cursor on a knob.

A large cursor on fader.

show cursor

Displays a small cursor indicator at the fader position.

Option On (with a red cursor) and OFF on a fader.

Panner and XY

full circles

Chooses between empty or full circles for the speakers representation.

nb concentric circles

Sets the number of concentric circles for the speakers representation.

Example with 3 and 6 concentric circles.

Example with the option ON and OFF.

speakers opacity

Speakers opacity of the panner.

Example with low and hi value

color offset

Offset applied to the choice of colors. Lets you quickly change the colors of the control.

Path

closed line

Closes automatically the path.

Example with the option Off and On.

path type

Closed or opened path.

Shape form : rectangle, oval

smooth line

Automatically add supplementary points to create a smoothed line.

Example OFF and ON on a trajectory.

Text

font color

Font color of the text.

text font color

Font color of the text, generally on a text-panel.

Font color of the text, generally on a text-panel.

text left margin

Creates a margin on the left of the text (in pixels).

Example on a text-panel.

Matrix

shift fade factor

Fade sensibility when using the SHIFT key.

cells caption color

Cells caption font color.

Example with a green color.

cells caption size

Caption font size of the cells.

Example with a small size.

cells gap

Gap (space) between cells.

Example with 2 pixels and 8 pixels gaps.

cells round size

Thickness of rounded corners.

Example with 3 different and progressive round size values.

cells rounded

Determines if cells are drawn with rounded corners.

Example with square and rounded cells and rounded.

vertical align

Vertical alignment of caption cells: Center, top or bottom.

colors orientation

Determines if corlors are affected horizontally (lines) or vertically (raws).

Example with the same color set with the 2 options.

color on

Cells color when ON.

This is also relative to the colors orientation parameter.

Example where the 2 first rows are set to Purple when ON.

color off

Cells color when OFF.

This is also relative to the colors orientation parameter.

Example where the first 2 rows are set to Grey color when Off.

cursor orientation

Determines the cursor orientation: horizontal or vertical.

Horizontal and vertical cursor.

fade distance

Distance in pixels used to fade the cells color.

inputs header width

Inputs header width of the matrix

Example with a normal and large inputs header width.

outputs header height

Sets the outputs header height.

Example with a medium and large outputs header height.

show dB value

Displays decibels value in the cells.

Fade must be used in the *mouse mode.

Example on the matrix-audio.

show data value

Displays the data value in the cells.

Fade must be used in the mouse-mode.

show volume value

Displays the volume (or velocity) value in the cells.

Fade must be used in the mousemode.

Example on matrix-audio-mix and matrix-midi-mix.*

header caption color

Header caption color.

Example with some Red header captions.

header color

Header color of the panel.

Example with a Red header of a matrix

Panels

show bottom bar

Displays or not a small bar at the bottom of the panel, generally a rack.

show selector

Displays or not the selector.

Example of a selector

inverse y axis

Inverse the Y values (0 to 1 becomes 1 to 0).

Presets

show cmd

Displays or not the commands buttons (store and rewrite).

silent edit

Disables the trace-panel informations when a preset is recalled or stored.
